Ya know this place is great...

The other day I posted a thread about tire dressing, it wasn’t long and I had a PM from someone wanting to help me out. They were willing to give me some dressing to try free of charge. I thought that was cool, then they don’t want me to pay them back for the shipping either! I would expect this from a vendor but this is someone taking out of their stock to let me try something new. That is what Autopa is all about. I am not going to post his name because I don’t want him to get bombarded with PM's and emails of people wanting free stuff. But I will say that he return address will be on that package and he will be getting something in return, I am not sure what yet but I will pay him back for being a good Autopian!

Ya know, I really need to try a new IMPORTED SPORTS CAR. I really like Vipers and Corvettes, but I just think a new IMPORTED SPORTS CAR would really help me out.

I have never tried a Supra or a 3000GT before......

aw, forget it!

 :D

The same thing happen to me a couple of days ago. There was a thread about IHG and GEPC. Intermezzo offered publicly to send me a sample amount from his personal stock to try prior to me purchasing some!!:xyxthumbs I declined because of his truthful and unbiased posts and detailing expertice I purchased some GEPC just because of his recommendation. I found it very generous on his part to make this offer. That's what so good about this forum. Good people and honest advice.:bow :xyxthumbs :wavey

I dont think I have been offered any samples, but I have been offered great advice and friendship over the last year, Autopia is great.

Obviously, anyone with some spare Zaino, Blackfire, 303 who wants to send me some as part of my wedding presents, I would not object ;) :D

I've got two of em on a shelf in my garage, one on a poster in my dungeon and one in my driveway (in my mind). You are welcome to any of them except the two on the shelf in my garage and the one on the poster in my dungeon. :D

We should also remember people like NYdetailer who take time out of there schedule to offer help sessions. Genuinely great people here!

I feel the same way as Redcarguy..Recently another forum member sent me a brand new bottle of P21S bodywork shampoo free of charge just so I could give it a try. This place is truely awesome...:up

This place is great. The members as you know usually go out of their way to assist another member, whether sending samples, help sessions, or just giving advice on the forum. I just got a quick response from several people on thread I just started.

Autopia is the best forum I visit on the net.

Thanks everybody.

I don't feel right about buying one right now. I'm gonna wait till I have more of a downpayment.

I've got an X-plan pin but would be happy with a used 02 especially if you sent me yours to test out for a few years :D

I've been able to work a few trades also. Nice to see how most of the people here work together to help us all become better detailers and become more informed on a wide variety of products.

As a frequent visitor and infrequent poster, I have to chime in on this love-fest. What's truly impressive about this site is the lack of an elitist attitude. The regular pros - RCG, Scottwax, Jngr, etc go out of their way to help out new members as well as their fellow pros.

It's great to be able to log on & soak up some of the expertise routinely volunteered by many of the experienced detailers. Keep up the great work! :up

I hear ya there. Within the first couple weeks I was on the forums I hooked up with good ole Don and got some #20. I've been hooked up a couple times now with Liquid Souveran. I think the people I've met and the things I've learned are more valuable than any product I could aquire. I'm an Autopian for life! I may not have been here when Autopia was created, but I got here as soon as I could. :)

Me even being at this site is nuts, but for me to post takes a lot!:scared Nagchamp & HuskerBoy are correct, this place is great!

I just posted on another area here regarding how NY Detailer really is so helpful.

I can top all your stories, so it seems!

Yesterday I had posted that I was very uncomfortable regarding getting my New Vette detailed in the cold.

I forgot his web name, but another member chimes in and offers up his pro wash bay garage so NY Dtailer can do a great job and stay warm doing my car!

Very Impressive!

I frequent the corvette forums often and you guys/Gals are like family compared to that world.

I sit back and read more than i post these days. Things sure have changed over the years, so much so it's hard to keep up with all the new posts. I've been posting on Autopia for a long time now (Apr 2000) and i still love the place.:)

I agree this place is great from top to bottom , Dave B is very down to earth even though he obviosly is makes more money than me and drives a porsche he isn't the least bit stuck up , he's actually been very helpful in many ways and I'm very new to the site.

Redcarguy is another prime example , before I even posted I say pictures of his garage , I PM him some questions about it and by the time I got home that day I had a response , and nothing saracastic like don't copy my garage.

The icing on the cake has to be NY detailer , this guy is great. So far he has offered to drive down and help me set up my garage , send me samples of the chemicals he reccomends , send me info on his advertising stuff , he has even tried to help me find the lights I want for my shop. All of this before he even knew my real name. Now thats impressive , this is a great place , thanks to all who make it that way.:xyxthumbs

Autopia is great, but it's everyone here that makes it such an awesome community. I have had a few samples of Klasse sent to my from Jason, who is currently away training for the marines. (We miss you buddy)

I, myself have sent out some Zaino, and an old Orbital.. and got nothing in return. I think that is a major factor in keeping Autopia so great. If we give back to the community, by trading and giving to other members... it seems the community could last forever.

I have NEVER been a member of a message board like Autopia... we are the only community like this, and with everyones help we can just keep on making it better.

I love Autopia, and I am so glad to be here.

Happy Holidays guys!
