Why do some people say that products that contain xylene will cause clear coat failure or damage auto paint? If so, why does 3M all purpose adhesive cleaner contain this ingredient and it's safe on paint? The MSDS says this contains 30-60 percent xylene. I've been using this product for years with no ill effects.
