Was going to send this photo to Pockets, he's my AR friend. Thought perhaps others would like to see it as well. I've been acquiring parts for a few weeks. I just completed the .308 (rifle in the back) build today. It has some pretty trick parts in the gas, recoil trigger and bolt carrier groups. I have no idea how it will shoot as I'm not aware of others that may have tried these types of modifications but it should be a good shooter with a relatively gentle recoil. The scope (Millet) will be here on Monday.

sweet, definitely the next rifle on my gotta have list. just had my .308 Remington 700P at the range last week to zero in a new Nikon 4.5X14 mil dot scope. trigger action needs some smoothing out, but a nice shooter.

Very nice. Hand load at all?
Yes, I have a bunch of presses. Got to admit I have't loaded much in .308 for a number of years however. I bought a bunch of military surplus 7.62 X 51 a few years back and have been shooting it in a FN FAL. I'll have to see how this one shoots and see if doesn't have a pet load.

I was looking at a Nikon for this rifle. I was actually going to purchase it and as I was about to buy it, stumbled across a good buy on this one. The Nikon had a sweet bullet drop compensator in it but at the end of the day would have cost me several hundred more dollars. I bought this scope knowing I have another AR15 that still needs optics (in fact the other rifle in the picture) and figured I could make the switch after this project stopped hemorrhaging $$$'s.

Several of the posts that were showing up later in this thread were getting a bit political and beyond the scope of the original post. It wasn't meant to be a pro/anti gun discussion but more of a hey, look what I did thread. Simply showing something I had fun doing. Going to close it.
