WW Scratching Paint

I don't think that WWs would be any different from plush MFs with regard to dirt getting trapped.

In other words buying WW for drying might be redundant at best, if not worse off than using plush MF because no WW is as gentle on paint as plush MF?

Not IMO because the primary concern is with drying the car, and IME plush MFs don't get all the water (but rather leave tiny droplets that may/may not evaporate without leaving a trace).

So I make sure my WWs are soft, I replace them when they seem to quit adsorbing water (after trying all the various rejuvenation techniques), and I try to get the vehicles as clean as possible before I dry them...and at that point I just take my chances and hope for the best.

Also as when washing, I try to avoid making long, uninterrupted motions when drying. If marring does happen, I want the scratches to be fairly short, not foot-long ones from motions that cover half a panel.

Thank you for setting me straight! For a second there I was concerned all my money on WW was not neccessary.

WHat up bro. You can try out a microfiber drying towel. They work pretty good, I got one down at Kmart for like 8 bucks bro. Right on. Usually I like to use a chamois then follow that with my microfiber drying towel. I been doing this for a while dude, so I have seen many different products and many different methods and tested them all bro. This is my suggestion to you, once detaling bro to another. Knock it out bro, knock it out hard and long.

I have also found that not all Waffle Weaves are created equal. Even though I love my Cobra Guzzlers and they have worked perfectly since day one, my CG Waffle Weaves feel different and actually a bit softer to the touch. Either way, I haven't seen any problems with either and I always wash them seperately in warm water with Woolite.
