Wrong color shirt car shows - 2 of em

If I ever lived in Florida, the last place you would ever find me is a car show. All those water sports, and so many other opportunities that us northern folks don't have. I could make money 100 different ways down there.

I'm not really sure where you were headed with this comment. I don't mean to speak for him but I'm pretty sure Ron doesn't go to car shows looking for customers or the prize money (I don't think he would turn that down however). Pretty sure he goes because he's a car guy, likes being around other car guys and likes showing his Vette. Correct me if I'm wrong here Ron, I always thought you were very selective on whose car you might detail beyond family and close friends.

I don't think he was going anywhere with his reply, but yeah it's passion not profit in this case for me. I'd never be able to make a living out of it. I never finish on time. I'm old fat and lazy, (I feel a year older than a few days ago). Everything takes longer than it should.

Happens everywhere. I went to one show this year. Parked with a bunch of "non club member" vette owners. Not a single one of us won anything. ALL the awards went to a large club parked together in one section. A friend of mine who shows a mustang complained about the same thing at another show.

Ok now I get the conversation. I was thinking it didn't match the car or maybe blue to match first place ribbon. Man things lose their funny when you have to explain them.

Probably the reason I won't join any club. It's funny watching them fall over themselves trying to recruit me.
Yesterday they offered to take me to lunch and if I would share my detailing secrets........... Funny cuz I explained exactly what I did, they just don't believe me.

No I wasnt going anywhere with those comments, and it had nothing to do with Ron. just basically saying that every time I visit Florida, obviously near the beach, I never want to leave. so many cool things to do down there, like I mentioned, mostly the water sports. ride the jet ski to the Bahamas for a day trip, hit the cable park, or just chill at the local marina and watch the world go by. beats the hell out of semi-rural Indiana.
