If your clean BLACK car was driven about 75 miles....Cleaned with a QD after the drive...Would you put a coat of Wax or Sealant over the QD or would you wash the car first?
 
Can't be too careful, IMO. How long does it take you to wash your black car? How long will it take you to polish out an embedded contaminant that marred the finish? Not worth risking, IMO...
 
Depends. How long does it take you to wash your car? It takes me 20 minutes or so. Also, I only use QD to get bird bombs off and heavy contaminates when I can't wash my car at the moment.



My personal preference would be washing the car, applying wax, and use QD (I use quickshine) to enhance the look. Doesn't take long at all.
