Would the Griots Garage 3" Random Buffer work better than my PC?

Could someone please post side-by-side pictures of the PC 7424 XP and the second generation Griot's 3"? Thank you.

My hope for all of you is that you learn real power polishing with either a variable speed Makita or a nice light Hitachi. Learn to POWER POLISH like a pro. If you do, I PROMISE you ....all the other stuff your using will go right into the garbage. Take the plunge..... get the balls and DO IT. You will never turn back.

Do any of you use the DA AFTER the rotary? I have a Makita rotary and I think a PC DA, FLEX or whatever would really finish out the paint after the rotary. I don't have a DA yet but I would love to get one. Right now I swirl remove using my Makita and foam pads and then use an orbital to apply sealant and wax.

I always follow my rotary work with the DA, if only because I don't get things 100% hologram-free via rotary.

But now that I have the Flex 3401 I don't use the rotaries much anyhow.

I bought the 4" Adams pad kit for headlight polishing, and I use it on my PC to polish narrower areas. The Adams backing plate is roughly 3" in diameter, so I can also use the Griot's 3" pads.

IME i wouldn't use the griots 3" pads (orange) with the PC again, i already had one start to rip. they are better suited with their 3" random orbital...

Yeah, I agree. But those Griot's orange pads *are* nice, huh? For the PC, I'd try the supposedly similar 4" LC tangerine HydroTech pads.
