Would S&W remove Meg's Final Detail?

If I were to use Meguiar's Final Detail QD for a few weeks, would S&W be sufficient to remove the silicone prior to adding a sealant?
I still have the better part of a gallon of FD and it does look good when used. When I was using S100 Carnauba on one vehicle, I used it regularly. Now that I am using a sealant on all my vehicles, it hasn't been getting much use. Mainly because of my concern with the silicone not allowing my next application of a sealant to bond properly.
My thought is that the FD would be gone after going over the vehicle with S&W, but?????

I dont think so. The Poorbooy SnW its smilar to QEW and I dont think it can completed remove your Meg FD.

Charles,

I don't think so either:dunno One of the reasons FD was discontinued was its high VOC content(PD's) and Spray and Wipe is probaably not strong enough to remove all of it. That being said, why don't you try it, Spring is close enough that you'l more than likely be doing a full detail soon:)

Actually, I have been able to do a full detail every 3 months all winter. I have been lucky enough to catch a day that I could easily heat the garage to 60+ degrees and have at it. The only thing I haven't done is clean the wheel wells properly. I was always going to do it at the spray wash, but I never got around to it. Clean wheel wells would have only lasted about 5 minutes anyway. :)

I use both S&W and FD, and I would agree with the above opinions. You might have better luck removing FD using an extra concentrated solution of car wash shampoo. When I apply sealants, I almost always precede it with a mild polish or paint cleaner. The only exception is if it has been less than 2 weeks since I applied my previous layer of sealant, and I have not used any carnauba or silicone products since then.

Thanks for all the replies.
You were all supposed to agree with me so I could use up all that FD I have.:)
No problem, I have lots of 4 Star UGE I can use with no worries about following it with 4 Star UPP.
My usual procedure is to use Klasse AIO followed by UPP about every 3 months.
In between, I just throw on some more UPP each month. Both of these are probably a little bit of overkill, but that's OK by me.
FWIW, I also have a lot of Meguiar's #34 Final Inspection quick detailer that I think would be compatible with the UPP. Any thoughts on this?

Do all you people collect all these products that you really don't need like I do? I actually use; swirl remover. Meg's #9, but I'm trying some others, Klasse AIO, 4Star UPP, and 4 Star UGE. Bt trading and giving some products away, I think I only have some S100 SEC. S100 Carnauba, Meguiar's NXT, Meguiar's Gold Class liquid wax, Meguiar's Medallion Premium Paint Protection, Meg's FD, and Meg's FI, that I don't use, but hate to give away. Considering I did get rid of about 10 to 15 other products, I think I'm making some progress. :)

I agree with AWD330 on her process for the FD removal. I would follow the wash with 4*UGE and then UPP. Dwayne told me a while back that the UGE actually enhances the bonding of UPP.
Yeah ... I have products that just sorta sit there too ... a lot of polishes and cleaners ... Unless someone here specifically asks for them I don't offer them up for giveaway or sale.
I figure, If they didn't work very well for me ... it is difficult to recommend them to someone else.
