Would Black Wheels look good on my truck?

My PC goes to 7...
I'd like to have something other than the stock Silverado wheels on my truck, but I really can't justify shelling out $1000+ for them. So I was wondering how these cheap black Cragar wheels would look.

My truck is dark metallic gray, but this picture almost makes it look black.

Hmm, I think white or gold would look really out of place on my truck. It seems (from reading similar posts on other message boards) people generally don't like black wheels. I like the look on some cars/trucks, but they can make a vehicle look cheap.

I think it looks killer..and i never use that word:)



I really really like it...I had black wheels on my red Firebird, but didnt like it too much but black on black as always looked sleek to me.
 
I for one think balcks wheels on black or dark trucks looks sick! I no of a kid who lives in westhampton i am fimiliar with...aside from his Bentley GT (no joke) he has a black escalade on 22 inch black wheels and it looks amazing!!!! However IMO those wheels i am not to fond of, go with more of a spoked rim give it a sporty look!
 
Life is just too short to waste time playing to the crowd.



Give yourself a few days to think them over and if YOU still like em' I say go for it!

Thanks for all the comments. I'll think about this for a while. Like I said, I've seen black wheels on trucks that just give them a cheap look.



BTW, what are NASCAR tires?

Unfortunately cheap Cragars will always look cheap.



How about having the stock wheels powdercoated?

IMO, I love the look. But, black cars with black wheels look best with a polished lip. I personally have a black car with Anthracite wheels, I like the look.
 
I think that the black wheels for your truck wouldn't bring out the beauty of the truck. Since the truck appears to look black, the best thing to do I think is to leave the wheels and add just a little more chrome. I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge that is black, and when detailed to the max, the factory wheels with the the chrome center and all the other chrome actually turn heads ofmy coworkers and people at the mall. All my coworkers think it looks so great that I have started a little detailing business on the side.

I've decided to hold off on wheels for now. When I need new tires I may try to pick up a set of Denali take-offs from eBay. They're 17" (my stocks are 16"), so I'd need new tires. But I think they'd look pretty nice on my truck.

I've always liked the look of BLACK rims on BLack vehicles....but i've never had the guts to do it!!!

To me, it gives the vehicle a stealthy militant look (kinda like you're transporting a VIP!) and the rims also 'say' "i dont care what you think"..



the best VIPER i've seen was all black with black rims and huge polished 'lip'. almost turned me into a 'dodge' guy.



BTW, denali rims come clearcoated or bare aluminum depending on the year.
