Worst rotary work... EVER!

I'm guessing the monkey spun the wool at like 2g's and ran it back and forth really quick because he was afraid of burning the paint, all on a couple squirts of product :doh

I really need to find someone that has a flex, I understand they have more torque but comparing them to a rotary? Really?

It is much closer to the rotary then the pc in performance, but I maybe way off. To me it is. However, I am not saying to get the flex over a rotary.

Jeeeeezoo!! That is terrible.

Makes you cringe and want to sort it out... :waxing: If indeed, enough paint has been left behind, looks like its been hit with the wool at silly speeds with a compound.

'Here\'s my story....\r\n With only 500 miles on the odometer, decided to take my new (2008 F150) truck to a \"Detailer\" and have him get out some minor scratches from the dealers lot and get a coat of wax on it to protect it for the winter. I usually handle all the detailing myself, but I\'m swamped at work, and it generally takes me a few days to completely do a truck. I got my truck back in the evening, and since it was dark, couldn\'t tell what kind of job he had done. The next day it was sunny and when I got the truck out, I almost had a heart attack. Come to find out, he had used a wool pad and a cutting compound to buff the truck. Take a look in http://www.f150online.com/galleries/albumview.cfm?num=15776 to see a few pictures of what he did. These pictures were taken on a somewhat cloudy day, so they really don\'t bring out the whole picture of how bad this truck looks. I know many of you will say \"Heck, I could get those scratches out\", but I\'ve had it to three other body shops and detailers and they couldn\'t get them out. \r\n It\'s currently in the bodyshop being completely repainted. The painters attempt at wet sanding and shooting new clear was fruitless. The detailer had gone through the paint in several areas and had very deep scratches all over the body. When the painter attempted to wet sand the scratches, he went through the clear and into the paint. The silver lining in all of this is that I\'ve got a super painter to do the work, and he\'s going to use the Ceramiclear clearcoat from PPG that is much more resistant to scratches. He also does a final wet sanding and buff, so it will get rid of all the factory orange peel that it has now. My lesson learned.\r\n You can follow my horror story at Detailing disaster - F150online Forums'
