Worst rotary work... EVER!

I posted this in one of Scott's topics, but I wanted everyone to see this.

Last Sunday, I was on a bike ride when I passed a small local dealership and saw this black '03 Expedition. I couldn't believe how poorly this SUV was detailed. Absolutely the worst hologramming I have ever seen. I wonder if they forgot to put a pad on the rotary?

Sorry about the poor image quality, it was taken with my phone...

:aww:

DAMN DUDE!!!!!!!!

That's nasty, I wonder how hard you would have to try to suck that bad.

what are you talking about pic quality, your phone takes better photos than my camera.

Oh my god. I don't know why but thats really funny. I can not see how people don't notice that something is wrong there. It is mind blowing.

how long do you guys think it'll take to fix that? not to perfection, just to make that damn thing black again!

On that size vehicle with a 2 step with rotary. I'd say 8 hrs for me.

a little 106 on a rotary and that is an easy fix. I just did a black 04 Navigator for a dealer that looked worst. Oh and I opened the gas cap door and it had all masking tape from where it was painted. Some real pros out there!

THE HORROR!!! THE HORROR!!!

Seriously though...the scary thing is that I see A LOT of cars in my area (suburban Chicago) driving around like that...and A LOT more expensive!!!! Just makes you wonder....WHO THOUGHT THAT LOOKED LIKE A GOOD JOB!?!?!?!??1

The hack that did it probably did a great job of covering it up with a heavy glaze. It's pretty easy to hide that kind of hollogramming with a glaze. Of course after a wash or two, the glaze is gone and you're left with what you see in the pictures.

I don't know...that kind of hologramming/buffer marks....hard to completely cover up with the best of glazes.

The sad/scary thing...the original poster said they saw this on the lot of a dealer. That would be like some trying to sell a house that is completely overrun with moss/algae!!! Truely, a disgusting representation on that dealer's credibility.
