Does anyone else have that car or manufacturer they absolutely hate working with?



I really really hate VW paint! For some reason 99.9% of the time, whether it's a 05 Touareg or 03 Jetta, the paint just seems to screw with me no matter what I try... the defects that appear shallow, turn out to be very hard to correct, but the paint marrs as if it was a Porsche or ss paint... I can't remember the last time I did anything less than 3-steps on a VW in fairly poor condition!



SS paints are just cake for me as well as Audis, etc. because I know what to expect and the paints always behave in a similar fashion... VW, never!



Anyone agree? Or have a rant about another make/model/etc.?
 
Not paint but I can't stand Honda Interiors. The fabics are friggin impossible to deal with. The civic and accord are ok But the Odasyee's are stupidly difficult. as far as paint goes I've had a few select cars give me issues but off hand I can't think of an entire line up that I've had issues with.
 
I've found some VW's to be easy and others to be a pain, not sure why the difference.



Some of the interior fabrics alot of companys are coming out with, are a bear to clean.
 
Mazda, VW, Honda all put crappy carpet if you want to call it that in their cars, it clings to EVERYTHING and takes for ever to clean.
 
Nissan's black, C6 Corvette black, Subaru and Volkswagen interior carpet



I've found Volkswagen paint odd to work with too - a wool cut pad wouldn't level sanding marks, but a foam orange pad would just fine:o. Go figure.
 
I absolutely hate polishing VW's... I think they've got the hardest paint of them all. Not much will cut it without marring it, but then taking out the marring is a PITA after that. I'm curious how one would turn out now though that I've fingered out these crappy ceramic finishes... wonder if the finish is harder than the Ferraris I've been doing lately...
 
I agree that VW paint is very difficult to correct without marring. Also, for interiors, Kia Rondo carpet.
 
I hate:

VW interiors (mainly carpets which are 100% trash), and the rest of the car is real pain to clean also.

Nissan and Toyota exteriors (which are now absolute junk because of water based paint and non existent clear coat).

Toyota Corolla carpet (looks just like VW).

Subaru fabric seats and horrible carpets- impossible to clean

Ford Expy/Lincoln Navi- Interiors are made of cheap plastic which doesn't clean and there are crevices everywhere! They take forever to clean and still look terrible.

Volvo interiors- too many crevices (esp XC90), leather is terrible and doesn't clean up well
