Thomas (Tdekany) asked me to post this because he said his ID is in the "Twilight Zone" and is having issues posting new threads. I too was also having an issue creating a new thread, but finally had success.

Here is Thomas's posting:

Great job!!! What the ****** they have done to that poor car..

And i was afraid that i cannot use a rotary polisher :)

When I see jobs like that, I wonder how that is possible to do that bad of a job! Must be using wool pads with on old school heavy compound at 3000 rpm with the side of the pad to do damage like that! Nice recovery though!

What a disaster, I'd request a refund if I received my car in that condition. Great work, but why did the owner only want the hood and bumper done. The vertical panels must have been bad as well?

Thanks guys.

This was the owners first black car and of course she picked it up at night.

All I know is that the ""detailer"" was short. He didn't touch the roof.

The sides also need work but she wasn't interested in that.:nixweiss:nixweiss:nixweiss

She has got to take that back to the dealer and offer a huge compaint and request they pay you to fix the rest of the car!!!!

GREG

I just don't get it. Do some of these so-called "detailers" think that they have to leave evidence that they actually buffed the car? Otherwise, who could deliver such a mess with a clean conscience? Great work, BTW. ;)

I don't think she will go back to the dealership.

PS: while priming the purple wool pad (first couple of passes) I was creating the same pattern, but of course they were very light.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!

I will always question the logic of a dealer using $8/hour semi-trained monkeys to take a rotary buffer (that they don't know how to use) to a high-dollar vehicle. :furious:

Ponderous.

That kid of damage would stop me dead in my tracks from buying the car.

Haha OMG! :soscared:

Thank god that the "detailer" was so short that he didn´t "detailed" the roof!
