Worried - bugs on car 3-4 weeks during shipment.. Paint damage?

I moved to Hawaii about three weeks ago. At the time Dallas was having a ridiculous cold freeze which is where I shipped the car from. Sadly I had driven 9.5 hours to get there and not a single car dealer or car wash was using water because it was that cold.

I have a moonlight pearl white Infiniti Q50S.

I had bugs on the front which had a later of ice over them plus road grime.

My car still isn't in Hawaii. What do you think the likelihood is that I need to worry about the paint being ruined?

Matth3w- Right, I agree with David; there's very little chance of significant etching, and even if any does occur it shouldn't be serious- just clay off the bugs if it needs that, inspect for etching, if you find any polish it out and rewax.  Or go whole-hog and decontaminate it (to neutralize the bug-gut enzymes/etc.), polish, rewax.

Even a light polish by hand might remove the

little bit of etching from the bugs.

Your wax should provide the sacrificial barrier,

for that length of time.

I would be concerned with many other things

other than bird bombs. I just don't trust those

deliveries.
