worlds best glass towel

IMO surgical towels or Huck towels are the best by far . You can't beat them on price, toughness and absorbency. :bigups

I've had great luck on glass with pretty much every waffle weave towel that I've tried. I've never noticed the linting with WW that can sometimes happen with terry towels, and they seem to dry clean and streak-free for me.

What he said, awesome color as well.

I must agree, They are the best towel for glas bar none. They are very effective no matter what glass cleaner you use. They are probably my favorite specialty towel.

I think I've finally solved my glass troubles! I've tried newspaper, paper towels, and a bunch of mf before finding something that actually left my glass streak-free. The best towel I've used for glass is the Cobra MF Detailing Cloth. I got a pack free when I ordered all my Wolfgang stuff. They've been fantastic so far! I've been using it with NXT Glass Cleaner with excellent, 99% streak-free results!:)

If we're just looking for weekly clean up (not trying to clean a year's accumulation), misting a little clean water on a dedicated MF towel works great.

For more cleaning horsepower:

  • the Viper glass cleaning towel from CMA is great

  • Ian has a very good glass cleaning towel, but it's a little small

  • Detailer's Paradise has one of the best, IIRC, it's imported from Canada (below)

The Norwex towel may be imported from Canada, but it's made in China. I agree, though, that it's a good glass towel. Fairly large too. Looks/works about the same as the Viking 2 pak for $3.00 that you can find at some local stores. (Smaller than the Norwex.)

Another glass mf I like is the Poorboys glass mf (velvet). Works great too!

As well, I've found that ww mf work well.

Hmmm.... maybe this is one of those "process>product" thingies? :D

Yeah I like the suede-style ones as well. Where can these be purchased at?

My favorite ones came from CMA, they were called "The Max". But they haven't had them for a while. I saw some in a recent post that looked awfully similar, but I forget which post it was. Might be worth a search, it was just a few days ago.

TOL has suede-style ones, but I've only used them for buffing LSPs, so I can't say for sure how they'd work. Sounds like the PoorBoy's ones might be good, based on what BigLeegr posted.

Gee, I'm a lot of help, huh? :o

Yeah, *if* you get a good one. I have three (?four?) and two of them lint something awful even after numerous washes. But the one that *doesn't* lint is my all-time favorites; I reserve it for cleaning my good optics though, not for automotive use.
