Ok when you guys talk about using woolite and water mix to clean carpets is this the laundry soap you are talking of or something else. If it is what makes woolite so special? Could i just use tide or era or any other laudry detergent?

Woolite/water is a good leather cleaner (for light stuff).

It's a recommended leather cleaner from manufactures like Lexus too.
I use it (at times) for light interior cleaning (everything except the glass), and I also use Woolite & white vinegar to wash my MF's & pads. If I have heavier staining I typically use an APC mix, or a dedicated carpet cleaner & steam. I've never a tried laundry detergent, so I can't answer that one.

The Woolite I use is their laundry detergent, but I think it is intended for delicate fabrics where Tide or Era would be somewhat more harsh.
I think the Woolite removes less natural oil from the products you clean with it.
A mix of 1 part Woolite to 6 parts water works good for me. The GTP is 6 years old with 50,000+ miles and the leather still looks new. Cleaned with Woolite and water and treated with 4 Star Leather Conditioner since 2002. Prior to that, I used Tanner's Preserve which I think is also a good product.

I have use woolite/water on carpets, but I was out of Folex at the time. Folex dose a better job IMO.

woolite is not to good as a carpet cleaning solution..leaves a alot of soap residue plus does not release stains and dirt to good on dirty capets...which will attract more dirt in time...best to use a dedicated carpet cleaner that will relaese dirt better and also rinse cleaner...

Even a APC diluted works good...I found that the Bissel orange powered carpet cleaner works good...Folex is very good...and Resolve is good also..

woolite makes a good cleaner for leather and vinyl diluted...

Tide or any laudry soap to clean carpet will leave lots of soap residue..you will be rinseing for ever to get it out of the carpets...
