Woolite VS. Oxyclean

Well i've got a few good stains in the carpet of my car, nothing major, but it bothers me. So today i took out my drivers side floormat which has 3 stains, when i put my foot at when on the clutch/off the clutct/ and the gas. The carpet is also worn in on these places. I took some Oxyclean and mixed 1/4 scoop with 16 oz. of water, let it sit. While it sit I sprayed the spot down with Simple Green (1:10) and I have an interior brush, so i took the brush, dipped it in the "oxywater" and scrubbed for a few minutes. Nothing. The stains didnt come up, i just toop my cheap 1.25 Shop Vac and sucked up the excess water. Did i do something wrong? I feel like a failure, i'm practicing to detail for profit. Shoul d I use Woolite, or what? Would a LGM help any?

Thanks,
Matt

I would try skipping the simple green and spray the carpets with the oxyclean mix. Let it sit, then aggitate as needed. Then rinse and vacuum.

The sticky on cleaning carpets has worked best for me. I do not have a little green machine or an extractor of any kind.

It was hot water, and maybe next time i'll put it in a sprayer, and let it soak in some. Thanks for the help.

I've had great luck with 303, though I did also with Oxymagic. But some stains are different -- it pays to have a few types of cleaners.
