Woolite - Australian substitute? - Still goo dto clean leather?

I found adiscussion on here dated in 2008 regarding a diluted woolite sollution to clean the interior of cars including leather..

Are people on here still doing this?



Here in Australia we don't have woolite, that I know of.. We got something called 'softly. I'm wondering if anyone would know if

its a suitable substitute?

formutaled PH Neutral to gently clean and soften wool, washable silks, fine cotton, linen and fine synthetics.
 
Woolite (or its equivalent) will not harm finished leather; although it is not ideal for Aniline leather due to its need to be flush rinsed.



I’ve always been amazed that such a simple detailing task like the cleaning and care of ethyl carbamate (95% of modern automotive upholstery is finished leather, a hide protected by a covering of urethane) has been made into something so complicated, it seems that the only people who have anything to gain from this have a vested interest in the sale of products

Woolite is still my preferred interior cleaner. I'm sure someone here would be willing to send you some (if you cover shipping) to compare.
 
I am not sure what a good substitute in OZ would be, but I have been using the Eagle Ottawa formula of 10% alcohol, 1% Joy dishwashing liquid, the rest water for years. For general cleaning, I use a damp rag and elbow grease.
