Wood heat in garage good or bad?

I have both wood and propane. Propane warms it up quickly and wood maintains the warmth nicely....:bigups

Exactly what I was gonna say. At work we use the gas heaters to knock the chill out while a fire is being built. Ill post a pic in a few of the giant wood stove I built this year for $30. Its a beast :)

Here it is. This thing heats our 100x50x50 shop.

Cool! You should put a fan behind it and have it blow over the top barrel to dispense the heat better

Check with your home owners insurance policy first. Some ins companies will not allow a wood heating source of any kind. Just a little FYI. Good luck and post what you end up with:bigups

Sick double barrel there! Good idea on the insurance, I'm looking to make this into a larger venture aside from my day job so it's important to have. I just wasn't sure about such a dry heat. I just finished renovating the exterior of my house and hope to fix up the garage in the spring. First I gotta have my floor busted up and re-poured. Unless anyone has less expensive alternatives! As always, thanks for the replies. Once and when I get started I'll make up a little thread.
