Very interesting indeed. Please keep us updated with your thoughts on durability. Will you be using their Nano wash for ur wash regime?

Hmm, maybe I will do one side with nano, and the other with another soap and see if one fails sooner....
 
Im pretty sure its the glossing agents in QDs and soap that mess with the nano particles. I guess if you use something like Dodo BTBM that may work.
Here is something else interesting. They recommend not topper or other sealants/waxes, but their nano QD clearly states it has carnuba wax in it. Things that make you go hmmmmm
 
my understanding is that you only have to use their washes and qd if you want to maintain the beading/sheeting that you initially get. like i said im 8 weeks in without those items and it still beads/sheets better then most everything else i have tried. what i want is something that will keep feeling the way a fresh coat of mpl or bfwd feels
 
Not sure but i think if you took the a sealent from another like and did the same thing IE used there infused waxes and QD you would get a longer lasting sealent also.

I totally agree Patrick. There is always an synergetic advantage to staying within a system. I think for most of us the problem is we already have our core / favorite products and don't want to have to change them just to get better LSP durability.

I for one like Opti-Coat for the fact that it is a true coating and once its on I can use all of my normal products and techniques to maintain it. IMO so far OC is the only true coating / super sealant that truly a standalone product that doesn't need all of the special care...
