Wolfgang > The Sun (pics and review)

You can check for my initial Wolfgang review here.

As for now, I applied another coat of the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. I waited 3 days from the initial application, but all you have to wait is 24 hrs between coats.

With the application of the 2nd coat, the slickness was still amazing. The shine and depth had increased! I brought it into the sun and was stunned. It was like Wolfgang was made to fight the sun. Many products show certain weaknesses in heavy sunlight such as discoloration (pinkish on red), poor product distribution (blochy-ness), and so on. This stuff just made my paint glow. I used about .5 ounces for this coat with a microfiber applicator and removed with a microfiber towel. I applied and removed in fours (1-fenders,hood,front clip 2-driver side 3-passenger side, 4-Entire backend and roof) and it seemed to work out great.

Now, it rained this morning (I took the pics Tuesday) and when I got home from detailing (didn't take the Teg) it was CLEAN. No visible water spots whatsoever, even in direct sunlight. The shine was still stunning as was the slickness. This stuff beads like mad and rinses very clean. My girlfriend's Red Saab (parked next to mine) has AIO/SGx1 and I spotted some water spots and it definately didn't rinse as clean as mine (they were both cleaned Tuesday and driven relatively the same amount, so this small observation is rather accurate).

Anyways, I am still sold. I encourage everyone to give this stuff a shot. If you have a Red teg then you're lucky because you see how it will look on yours :D.

Comments, Questions?

I have also been happy with my Wolfgang experience. Easier to remove than Klasse, and it is the slickest to the touch product I have used to date. I admit that I couldn't leave well enough alone, and now have topped with P21S. This may have slightly darkened the appearance of my Jet Black M3, but all in all I think the Wolfgang looks very much like P21S.

Looks great! Bling...Bling

Have you used 4 Star UPP? If you did, how does it compare to WG?

With Aloha,

Ranney :)

Thanks everyone!

Carl Anderson: I am planning to top it with Zymol Vintage after WG x 5 or sooner if it plateau's.

Ranney: I have not used UPP, but after Jngrbrdman saw these pics he told me this is one of the best looks for red.

i like the over alll appearance but the red center of the rims is ok i think it would look good in silver with a chrome lip or fully polished but the car, body kit and wing are really cool

I have to agree! WG on red is just outstanding!

Top with Souveran and geezzz is it deep wet looking.

Washed the SC430 with the 1Z Perls and seems to enhance the WG/Souveran. Not bad at all that Perls wash! Give it a try guys!!

I still need to work out some minor spider webbing and light swirls with some Menz FP.

Once I get a full day with it, I'll post the pics.

GSR, if you ever get to Connecticut, or I get out to LI, love to compair the WG on red!

Also just got the newer center caps for the SC to replace those nasty "pie plate" looking covers!

Regards,

Deanski

I have used both WG and UPP. I have UPP on my Porsche and WG on the Explorer. Both are nice looks, again personal preference, but I felt like WG was easier to apply.

I'll be putting the 3rd cost of UPP on the Porsche this weekend. From what I have read, the 3rd coat is the charm with UPP!

I tried UPP and WG on black. I found WG easier to use because it required less time between application and buffing. WG also went on a little easier, and came off easier. As for look, they are close but the WG seemed to darken the paint more than UPP. I also think the WG feels slicker.

I can't tell you about the durability because after two weeks or so, I top it with a carnuba. The UPP does seem to pick up more dust than the WG, but both seem to stay pretty clean throughout a week of driving.

Just my $.02.

spetulla: Last I saw, Vintage was $1397. Jngrbrdman kindly sent me a sample.

Slythetove: Never used Zaino, but Deanski has. He left it for WG topped with Souveran.

Agreed. I have the same feelings. I really like the appearance of both, but Wolfgang is easier to use, especially since you don't have to wait to buff it off.

Sean-your car looks the best I have seen it yet!
