May 24, 2004 #3 maecrispy Obsessed... who me? Using a foam pad applicator shouldn't really introduce scratches unless you have dirt stuck on the pad. Either motion should be alright. Just remember to put it on as thinly as possible.

May 24, 2004 #4 J jmsc New member I've also used both up/down and circular by hand and found no differences. Remember also that the rotary and the PC both spin in circles. So either method will work. If in doubt, ALWAYS read the label on the product.

May 25, 2004 #5 membim Chadwick's Auto Detailing If you have a PC and finishing pad, apply with that. It make getting a thin coat very easy.
