You guys will hate my response. Both of the vehicles I've driven were/are lucky to get washed even once a month. More like every couple of months. Primarily because they are both heavily rusted/clearcoat was basically completely gone on one car.
When I worked at the bodyshop I'd wash the first car (I just recently put the first down and got a different beater) I would wash the car 1-2 times a week.
Being in Michigan with no access to a heated garage with a drain type space really puts a damper on any winter cleanings. I'll wash it more frequently in the winter just to get the corrosive salt off the car, but its still pretty infrequent.
The girlfriends brand new car however is a different story. I've been washing that every week. Need to pull it into the garage and give it a good light polish/sealant/wax setup though before the weather gets too cold.
Even though I don't wash my own stuff frequently.. If I had access to a garage with good lighting, floor drain, and underbody sprayers.. Omg.. I'd probably wash/wax damn near every other day. I love the smell of natty's and soap
