Wiper Blades

I've had great luck with Trico Exact Fit blades. Advance Auto carries them.
True to their name, they are an exact fit.

I change them every 6 months. You've had yours for 3 years?!

If I had to replace my wipers every six months, I'd try different wipers. I'm all about preventive maintenance, but that's pushing it in my opinion.

The OEM's I had on there for 3 years were doing fine - the only reason I decided to change them was the driver side wiper was tearing at the top end and I didn't want it get worse and scratch the windshield.

I can't imagine replacing a perfectly good-wiping blade just because it is six months old, though. :confused:

Just bought this 09 SuperDuty 4x4 crew cab F-250 in aug of this year when my 6.0 05 puked a motor :(. Just hope this 6.4 holds up better :).
 
I use Anco Contour. Ideal for all season use, but especially here in the northern winters.

I change wiper blades every fall and apply Rain Clear monthly.
 
The Exact Fits are ~$25 for the pair. I consider it cheap maintenance. While the old ones always look fine, the new ones always work better than the ones i just replaced.

The rubber loses flexibility and cleaning ability with age. 6 months is about right.

When you spend $20,000+ for a new car, it seems reasonable to spend $50 a year so you can see where you're driving it.

i just got a new set of these 20 bucks each but sooo worth it its all i use on my f350 and i go with 24 inch . bigger is nicer covers the entire window nicely
 
I must not be the norm, but I love my Rain-X Latitude blades. I have never had any problems with how and what I use them with. Before the first snow blades get replaced and then six months after the first snow they get replaced again. The winter always does a number on the blades.

When I replace my blades before the first snow I add Rain-X De-Icer for the winter (good up to -25), but found it to be always much better. Preformed will below that in Illinois' deep freeze this winter. :)

After the six month use during the winter I replace them again and switch back to the Rain-X Bug Remover (good up to +32f), but have seen it perform below that also.

With this replacement plan for both the wipers and washer fluid I have never had a problem with gapping or streaking. My windshild is always amazingly clean.

Almost all (I would say about 90%) mention how clear you can see out the windshield when in the car :yay.

I've also had bad experiences with Anco blades (Two weeks for me!;))

I do like the blades by Bosch, but the RainX blades (regular) have performed just as well for me at half the price.
 
In all of this, I never qualified that there is apparently only a select few blades that will fit my truck due to the attachment at the end of the wiper arm. It seems that "cheap" selections are not available for my truck. I would try the cheap versions, because I'm not a big fan of $40 sets of wiper blades. :)

Interesting to see everyone's choices and routines on things so small as wiper blades though.
