Wiper Blades

COME AT ME BRO
Long story short, I replaced my 3 year old OEM's for a pair of the RainX Latitude wipers (because I had a buy one get one free coupon). Maybe a month ago. True to the RainX name, they are complete garbage. I have sworn off anything RainX labeled ever again, but I still need a new set of wipers.

Anyone ever tried the Bosch Icons? I am open for suggestions, hopefully for something that I can pick up today as it is supposed to keep raining on through tomorrow.

I can't take the streaking, chattering, missed spots on the windshield, etc much longer.

:lol2: go back to the dealer ... some how none of the aftermarket wipers ever seem as good as the originals :hmmm:

Well, I can get the Valeo OEM's off Ebay for $40. Just called the dealer - $66.43 for the pair. Same dealer wanted $15 each for a lugnut. :(

I've used Icons for a couple years now. They work great and hold up well in the Houston environment.

your dealer sucks ... there are always service offers I get in the mail from my dealer and they always have a wiper blade special ..

I've tried just about everything else and always come back to ANCOs. Nothing fancy, they just work. Only place I could find winter blades in my size was Pep Boys. ANCO doesn't appear to offer blade refills anymore, at least nowhere I've found. Last set of summer blades I got the AeroVantage with blades and arms at BOGO. Work well, don't lift at speed. YMMV.

just went to Costco and they have some nice Goodyear blades ... they had every size but yours :rofl and mine too

Anco's work for me too. I use the cheapest ones. I really like the Motorcraft ones from my MKZ but they are so hard to get. The Ancos are a close second and Consumer Reports (you hate them when you disagree) also rate them well.

Well, thanks for all the help everyone - I went after the Bosch Icons (no dice), then the Trico Neoforms (no luck either) and wound up buying the cheaper Trico Flex. Got in on the promo of buy one get one 50% off. MUCH BETTER. I could see with the wipers on going 40 MPH+.

I will NEVER again buy anything labeled RainX. CRAP!

I'm sorry to hear about your luck with RainX. I've never tried the Latitudes (too expensive), but the regular RainX blades are my favorites. I get minimal chatter (if any) and they last the longest. I rank them as good or better than any of the brands available at the autoparts stores.

I love my rainX wipers...both sets I have had....have been great....and i use the latitudes..or hell, I might have had 3 pairs of them...never had a problem...did you take the protective cover off the wiper part?

Did you at least return the RainX blades? I think too many times people just throw bad products in the garbage rather than return them. Sometimes it's a hassle to return them, or doesn't seem worth it, but if you don't, the company gets the impression that they have a good product (all sold, none returned) and things don't change. If there gets to be a bunch of returns, they get the message much clearer.

I have the original wipers that came with my truck from June 2007. They see plenty of use here in Florida with the crazy rains we get (they still work fine by the way). The trick is to put Rain-X on the windshield monthly. I'll probably replace mine for the first time this April.

Did not return them, but I did take the time to write a couple of emails to them letting them know how terrible the wipers were.

Had the original blades on the F-250 and with all the ice we got this week I decided it was time for a replacement. AutoZone had 50% off the Bosch blades and with my card they scan I got another $20.00 off. Snowing like crazy today and the blades are doing great.
