I, too, am getting anxious for warmer days and not being forced to wash so often. The cars don't seem to stay clean for more than a day or two. Cold temps have made washing more of a challenge.

Think warm!

BTW, Paul, the paint looks nice. What are U using on it?

I notice that a lot of the activity drops off on autopia during the winter months. Not as many C&Bs or Pro details. The cold definitely takes the fun out of detailing. Your cobalt looks great. It is odd seeing a super clean car in settings like that.

I supposed it wouldn't be right to mention it is 74 degrees in PHX right now. Car looks great. That takes motivation in the winter.

:tumblewee

I feel for you folks up north. The way I look at it-if I'm crazy enough to surf in 50 degree water in Fl there's nothing wrong with cleaning up your sled in the snow.

Yea it's strange he we get a bit of all kinds of weather here

Mon. it was mid 50's and I had the top on my conv. down

then Tue we had 3 more inches of snow

...or the 80 we got yesterday and the 87 we'll get today in PR :grinno:

wow, is that seriously all snow? i've seen snow probably twice in my life. What sucks is that arkansas is "cold" but yet we never get snow. Our highs last week was 2X*...it's in the 40's right now, and its gonna be the 70's next week! i'm excited!

I logged in for the first time since 11/06/08 :nervous2:

It's just too depressing to see my salt-crusted car in the driveway (and my wife's salt-crusted car in the garage). I don't bother washing when there's fresh snow on the ground because in a single commute, the car will get re-coated.

I'm hoping to wash them on Sunday--it's supposed to be 50F out.

Now I'll go roam around and be jealous of the people in warmer climates.

Here are some requested pictures:

Nearby street:

They come through all the street's with giant snow blowers, graders, and tons of dump trucks a couple times during the winter to widen roads - this road could only fit 1 car down the middle a couple days ago.

Parking lot across the street.

Mini tobogganing hill behind a mall lol.

Here is a local snow dump, it's an old quarry that's filled in every winter, complete with tractors on top of the mountain. The picture doesn't do the size of the mountain justice, but you get the idea. It goes down quite a bit as well.

And finally this is my Buick tucked away for winter... :-S

We did not get that much here in Ohio. Maybe 5", but it's been so cold that it has not melted. The side streets are like mini Ice Rinks. It supposed to warm up this weekend and rain. I'm going out of town!

Every time I think it's cold here, I think of our Canadian cousin's to the north. Paul, you must have one heck of a heated garage to pull a detail off like that in those temps. We had weather like that a few weeks back and I didn't even want to go in the garage, let alone detail a car.

Looks awful sharp. Even more so knowing what the conditions are like.

And about those big snow blowers, ever seen one hit a car that was buried in the snow?
