Window tint

Have any of you tried doing your own window tint? You can order the sheets precut online for a pretty reasonable price and the thought had crossed my mind of trying it myself

Yeah, I failed miserably trying to tint my taillights and fog lights. The shape was just too difficult for my first attempt. In the end, I had a friend do them with high-quality film.

I never bothered to do the fogs because the law doesnt allow all black taillights (in the rear) and TBH they are very hard to take out of the bumper (sandwiched between layers plastic supports behind the bumper cover).

Im thinking about tinting the front side windows to match the back but itd be illegal...

I have done taillights and headlights with success. Windows are difficult. The 250 should be easier since it is flat. The pre-cut should be even easier.

I got all my f150 windows done for $120, so it was worth paying someone else.

The key is a good wet application, and careful use of a heat gun.

For solution use a drop of soap in a 32oz bottle.

I have done it before. Not terribly difficult as long as you dont have curved windows. I have seen the pre-cut stuff and considered doing the company vehicle. Main thing is keep the glass clean, use plenty of solution and squeegee. Once you get the big bubbles out, use a heat gun outside the window to finish up.
