Will these products layer?

Mr Tort, super moderator - I did not meen anything to come across as a veiled insult. All of the products listed, with multiple coats and alike products used one after the other strikes me like the kid at the speed shop who listens to the counterman help 4 diffrent people.

The first guy wants 4.11 gears. "you'll pick up a second in the 1/4 mile"

The second guy wants a 780 Holly carburetor. "You'll make 50 hp and pick up a 1/2 second"

The third guy gets headers and 3" exhaust. "you'll get 15 hp."

and the last guy gets loud 6 x 9 speakers. "you'll get the girls with those".

So, the kid buys all the stuff for his car, and expects to shave 1 1/2 seconds off his 1/4 mile time, and make 65 more hp, all while being surrounded by cuties. He heads to the track, and finds his car is actually SLOWER than before.

Why? The stuff don;t work together.

Maybe I should have made myself clearer.

sorry I made you mad.

Why would that make his car slower? And yes, your arent too clear.

jajaja dude u guys are funny, i have like the same issue with my car, i tried something like that but with different products, the thing is that i think ur like me, just love to rub the car in the middel of the night with no plans to sleep, anyways good luck with the layers, im not an expert but i hope to see the finish product working correctly, good luck

Now, let's see. You want to build a substantial protection with countless products. Okay it can be done, but consider the following: Use compatible products only! Therefore use the carnaubas last. I'd skip Sealer & Glaze because the pastes will hide much more than the Mothers. Otherwise, it is a pretty exhausting list but it can be done. Good luck to it!

Regarding spit shining, read my post here.

Sure you didn't. Just like the "Mr." and "super moderator" in your address to me weren't meant to be sarcastic. Right.
sorry I made you mad.
Mad? Hardly. Let's just say you sound an awful lot like a member that was banned for similar sniping at other posters (hmmmmm). Regardless, you can either be polite, or you can sit in timeout for a few days, your choice.

Attacks on other members, however "subtle", will not be tolerated.

Cool thanks, so I'll skip the Sealer & Glaze because your right about the other pastes hiding much more. And you are saying all my products are compatable right and in the order its in right?

Thanks again

Accumulator, your probably right about the new paint but I still wanna do the extras just to see...

To all who think it is unnecessary, I will say it again, I am doing this as an experiment to see the differences and see if it really does make a difference. I enjoy waxing my car.

... I'm only 17, I think I have to do this a few more years to get more experience. This is part of my learning process...

Fair enough, don't let anybody rain on the parade. Rather, let us know how it goes.

Generally, you can layer waxes over sealants without any problems. And you can layer (non-cleaner) paste waxes to some extent, especially with the spit-shining.

Why not just do AIO + 3-4 coats of SG seperately , top with Collinite and whatever mothers appearance product you like ?

Man just do it, who cares what others think. Im doing same(except I layered with different brand of sealant) experiment on junk trunk that I got. So far I have 4 different brand of sealant on it. Yah, any way good luck yo.

I guess I can't win here - where I come from (lower alabama), addressing folks as sir and Mr are ways of being polite and respectful. I added your super moderator title because obviously you're a very important person on this site, and I was showing respect.

It hurts my feelings to think you can read my mind and find I'm being sarcastic when im just trying to be nice and apologize for making you mad and show you some respect.

that's what we do in the south.

The point of my post was a person who said he was 17 years old came up with a huge list of stuff to use with 2 and 3 coats of stuff, and others over the top of it, and it didn;t make any since to me.

That was why I added the story - a young kid listens to guys at a speed shop who know what their doing and adds all the stuff together thinking he'll get the best of all of it, and he ends up going slower. That's because when you add all the stuff together, you don;t get the benefit of all of it compared to a stock engine. you may get some, but they also may work worse together than when you started.

Kinda like adding a bunch of coats of products that aint anything alike and expecting it to look great.

I gotta head for my next delivery in Seattle. I hope you understand what I'm talking about now.

See you in a few days when I get there, unless I can find wireless in a truck stop.
