Will DG # 111 stain trim?

I am in the market for a new wash mitt or nice sponge. What do u guys recommend? I have seen posts about sheepskins and other mitts scratching. Just wanted to get ur opinions.

I love my genuine sheepskin mitt. Works great and no scratching. However, I would not use it on a moderately to real dirty car. For those occasions, try one of the mitts that Showroom mentions. Laters

I've been using some TurtleWax chenille wash pads. Supposedly 100% cotton over a sponge. Perfect size, easy to clean and I've watched very carfully for scratches and have not found any. About 4 bucks at Advanced Auto, etc. I've gotten about 10 washes out of one and still goin' strong.

I also, have no experience with this product. If you don't get a response here, do a google search, and I am sure you will find what you are looking for.

Barry, do you realize a simple Google search is what got me hooked on detail forums :out:

I researched and the further I got, the deeper the BS got. I don't know if you have recieved the memo yet, but not everything you read on the net is actually the truth Da Rules!

I just got a bottle of this stuff and while I have no problem staying off of the trim I would like to protect the trim as well if #111 works for that.

Dave, I called Jerry at DG to get it straight from the source. He advises that it will stain the trim "to a degree". He suggests to be safe to tape the trim off or if you happen to get some on, scrub with a brush. I would add to that to use some IRA right away. It is not as bad as some waxes but why go through the extra work if you don't have to..probably just as easy to tape it off. Hope that helps.
