Why not? Makeover time for a 12 year old Camry...

Awesome turnaround! :up

Very nice recovery, you saved that car's soul.........:goodjob

As much as I love shining up brand new cars with little to no imperfections, sometimes it's nice to do a restore job like these to remind you what it's all about. Seeing your own results like that can only make you feel really good about your work.:waxing:

That is amazing work. Those are the best jobs IMO. It's somewhat easy and quicker to take a fairly new, low mileage vehicle and make it look nice but to do this to an old, tired every day vehicle is truly like giving the customer a new car.

Unfortunately this "anomylous" customer may restore it's previous condition in short order!

Nice job and even inspirational.

Oh My Goodness ... this is not real ... the transformation is unbelievable :bow

Just wondering is the paint single stage or clear coat ?

It was clear coated. Actually the paint readings were fairly good all the way around; it was a little low on the hood, decklid, and roof but not bad considering the age.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, working on new cars is nice but every now and again it's fun to dig in and really watch something transform.

He seems pretty keen on keeping it up now, he says he will bring me back 2x a year, so we will see! Cross your fingers for the Camry :)

Jaw Dropper.

That post should be your business card.

You want these results <insert before/after shots> then it's going to cost you this <$$$>

Unreal.

Really nice work! Glad to see that beautiful Toyota paint restored better than how it was when it left the factory floor. A+++

Just 2 words come to mind...

Ahhhh Mazing!!!

My buddy is almost convinced to have me detail his Camry. It's only 3 or 4 years old, so it's not in bad shape, but I don't think he's ever waxed it.

Picus what kind of Paint Gauge are you using? Are you finding it's relatively easy to throw all your products in the Bimmer?

Kevin, Its nice to see you put 110% into an "average car." This really shows your level of professionalism. Looking fwd to seeing more of your work soon.

Heya, it's an older one my dad gave me. He used to work as a tool maker and had one. The brand is a "Fender Splendor" model 615.

And ya, the trunk is actually pretty large and the seats fold down, so it's a similar fit to my G35 sedan.

Looks great! What a buff can do! How do you go about cleaning your pads on that car, do you change pads once saturated and caked or just use a condtioning brush?

I just change pads once saturated, that was every panel or two on this car.
