Why I like the Absorber....

The anti-Absorber / grout sponge group will always claim that the drying media should have some a nap just in case there is something left behind on the paint. However, rinseless and waterless products are challenging the rationale behind many practices.

This must be the answer as to why the AA group (anti-Absorber) insists that damage can be done.

I guess I can see that point. I always make sure that the vehicle is very clean before drying. Sometimes to the point of washing it twice if I'm using ONR. (Wash with ONR only takes about 5 minutes if I finish the wash before drying.)

Bill,

Your thread here illustrates (IMO) exactly what people need to do when detailing... ie: "experiment and find what works for you".

I hate the idea that a product gets bashed because it has been given a reputation as inferior or not up to snuff for many so called experts.

I've never used the Absorber, but have tried imitations (in the past). I liked them a lot but even back then, I prefered a genuine Chamois. Currently I use a Meguiars Water Magnet but will probably try the Big Blue to see how it goes.

Bill, glad to see that someone has finally come out of the closet on the Absorber, not that there is anything wrong with that. Just can't see myself ever using one though.

Bill, bought the absober yesterday and used it today. Great product:biggrin: I've been drying with MF towels for sometime and with the heat and dryness we go through down here in AZ, the cars will dry out on me before I can get them into the garage!!, but now it takes half the time and no more water spots:cursing: I'm don't want to do it, but I think I better think about a water softner come this summer....

Good! Glad you like it! Be sure to rinse and wring before putting back in the tube. The Absorber actually works better after several uses.
