Why doesn't the Makita BO6040 get any love?

IIRC, Todd mentioned it has just as much polishing power as the Flex 3401, if not slightly better. Plus, the design looks better, IMO.

Thoughts?
 
It's pricey, it limits you to 1 pad size, although at one time there was some kind of Edge deal where you could use their system but Edge seems to have died on the vine and everybody uses MF pads now anyway. Also, I think it has that same goofy counter-clockwise rotation that Flex uses and I hate. I guess if you're a southpaw it works great.

You make some good points, especially, the counter clockwise rotation.
