Why does this cost so much?

Vintage Glaze is based on a custom formula developed for the 1947 Bentley Mark VI Cabriolet by Franay, winner of several "Best of Shows" in its debut year on the Concours circuit.

Yawn...

No idea why it costs so much, but back then was there clear coat?

Maybe i will put some tomatoes, apricots, and bananas in a blender with some Turtle Wax, and see what happens :)

Among the protective ingredients in Vintage are evergreen, honeydew, coconut, cantaloupe and sunflower oils.

Status. Nothing more. There will always be people who want the most expensive of any product just to say they have it, and it is the best. I guess a peon like me will never know.

I don't see why anyone would buy a wax, at any price, with so much carnauba in it that it would melt away in 6 hours.

the free refills must be taken into account. I wonder how much they charge for shipping and such, if it's not too bad, although highly doubtful, then you could wax 20 cars a week.

Because it is the best!! Outrageously priced it is; Outstanding results IMO it will produce. Do some investigating, compare products, and if you are daring, try it and see if it will bring out your paint finish to your expectations. You might see why there is nothing quite like a Zymol resolution. I dare you.....

That could be exactly why it costs so much. They might go out of their way to get the ingredients from obscure locations.

Their more prestigious waxes use higher white carnauba content, and then you factor in the packaging, processing, use of the natural ingredients, and lifetime refills and it seems to add up. I also doubt they mass produce quantities of the expensive waxes, so its made on a need basis.

i went to my local super highend detailer and i asked wat was the most expensive wax they use, and they said its from zymol, cost $10,500CDN and is in a 50 oz. refillable container. they said theyre going to use it on a Mercedes SLR coming in next week, INSANE. i wish i wererich as hell.

Just like buying an interconnect for $15000. (1/2 meter I think)

Their $50 or so carbon wax on dark metallic paint eats P21s for breakfast though. We may soon try their $168.00 wax.

Does Zymol carbon actually contain carbon? what about Zymol titanium-titanium in it? it probably costs about the same to manufacture most of their waxes but a person who has a 150K+ car doesn't want to put $15 S100 on it-where's the exclusivity in that
