Why do I get micro-marring with...

PB PWS? I really *want* to like this product. I love Professional Polish, but I`m thinking it`s not a Professional Polish derivative? Maybe SSR-1?

I`ve bought this two times. Once about 3 years ago, and it marred my Porsche paint. Tried it again this year on my Nissan and same thing.

Odd, because it`s an AIO, and thus, obviously shouldn`t leave little micro-swirls, so I`m positive it`s me.

How do you use PWS?
 
Black or red pad. I`ve never had any problems from jet black bmw and audi deep blue tons of others.

I believe it`s a chem polish, non abrasive.
 
I tried it again last night, and yep, same little swirls.

If I`m finishing down to 90% with something like Menzerna 400 or UC with no marks but PWS is leaving marks, it must be a technology difference that I`m not adjusting to.
 
I`m guessing that either the pad or cloth is the culprit ... there are no abrasives in PwS ..

On a different thought process .. PwS is very glossy and maybe showing what was being masked by fillers previously used in polishes or compounds :thinking

Armed with that information I think I`ve made sense of it. PwS is much less oily than the Menzerna polishes I use, but I still use the same amount of product. I think I may be getting dry-pad-induced scratching. I think I need more product when using PwS, perhaps even priming the pad with the product. We`ll see. Thanks for the response.

you may have part of it solved ...
PwS can be used for light correction / cleaning or laid on like a liquid wax ... if it is going to be used as a LSP .. then it need to be used at low speed and probably a bit more product ... if you are going to use it as a polish / cleaner then you need to make sure the pad is primed with the PwS and check it as you go. There is no filling property to PwS, that`s why metal flake really pops when using it :)
 
Really odd.

I`ve used it with white foam pads, and black foams. On the handful of cars I`ve used it on, haven`t had issues. Just nice gloss.

Hope you work out the kinks.
