Who wants to hear a horror story?

My buddy has a TRD Supercharged Tacoma, slowly but surely Scrub a Dub has been putting swirls on that truck. It was getting worse and worse until two days ago!!!

He had a 580 pound iron boiler in the back of his truck, he dumped it off and had rush all in the bed so he went to scrub a dub. The spray it but the rust flew ALL over his truck. When it came out not only did the towels put swirls in his truck but they rub the rust ALL over his paint. Now you can feel the swirls with your fingernail and there is a not a 1 inch by 1 inch square on his truck that is not swirled to death by these rust scrapes.

MAN it looks horrible, he never wants to pay to have it fixed but I think I have him in the choke hold now.

Can you even IMGAINE your car with rust flakes all over it and some fool at Scrub a Dub grinding it all over your car, I mean like every single friggin inch, some on the swirls are more of long deep scratches than anything.

horrible horrible horrible

That is so painful my teeth hurt.

Sounds worse then fingernails on a chalkboard. Can you hear them rust thingys grinding into the paint I can!

Help him out like a true autopian. Share your knowledge and make him buy the beer!

I feel much more sorry for the next person who went through the scrub-a-dub. I used to go through these things occasionally until I had them snap off two cell-phone antennas - in both cases I started to remove them and they said "We'll get it! Go inside and wait." That was back when I had absolutely no idea what in the hell I was doing to my vehicles.

Knowing me I'll prob charge him 50.00 and I do the entire truck over, wash, clay, polish, klasse, glaze, wax, qd and another wash.

I'll try to squeeze a few bucks out of him though, he's a cheap one. The idiot needs to take the front bars, hood bug deflector, and window wind deflectors off, that stuff is the only thing thats really going to stop me from doing the truck. No way I am doing half a job if I am going to spend all that time on it.

* I don't work well drunk, I fix phones; last time my boss bought beer I got a call the next morning and he was reaaaaaaaaallly pissed off, wanted to know why 80% of the phones I moved didn't work.

:bounce

The moral of this unfortunate event is: Nobody cares about your car/truck but you. Wash it, Wax it and care for it yourself. The results are better and the rewards are greater.:D

Hope you can help your buddy out. Those are very nice trucks.

Was this the Scrub-a-Tub in Allston on Western Ave?

I know the one your talking about in Allston but it isn't that one.

It's right off the South Bay mall. Next to Rte 93. Where the Sears & Roebuck warehouse used to be.:bounce

Must be a new one. I know the area you are talking about but can't recall that Scrub-a-Tub. Moved away 4 years ago.

Not bad weather for December in Boston!! Good luck with your friends truck. There are enough hazards there without getting a car mauled at the carwash. Still a great city. Go Pats!!:bounce

Take care.:D

Can feel with fingernails, that is past the clearcoat correct? That is why them spinning brushes are the stupidest thing, how about the vehicles behind him?
