Who said this?

It's been a wile since I've seen any real spirited conversations on DC. Some love this and others don't. That said I thought I would post a quote to start things off. Feel free to add one if you have one you feel is discussion worthy. My thought here is to have members guess who made the quote. Of course with the ease of the Internet one can easily find the source. I thought it might be more fun if there were a few guesses first. Once the person quoted has been mentioned I'll post another one. As I said, anyone should feel free to put one of there favorites up. Subject matter is at your discretion (G-Rated). Lets have a little lively conversation. Here's the first quote, it's a little tricky, I'll tell you why later:

"Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to ensure peace, security, and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good."
