Who makes the BEST UVA-UVB paint protectant for Florida summer sun....

That’s quite disheartening. Seems like this ship doesn’t have a captain and it’s sailing for an unknown destination. I called PBMA yesterday and couldn’t reach anyone but a general mailbox. I remember the days when you cold call and get a variety of people easily. Autopia Car Care doesn’t even have a customer service number listed on their site. I messaged Jason on AGO yesterday and linked him this post. We’ll see if that helps.

An apt description.

Maybe you missed a few things, there really is no PBMG anymore. They were forced to move out of the Autogeek building, and briefly moved to another location in Florida before outsourcing the webstore and warehousing to a fulfillment center in Texas. So there are no employees in Florida anymore, as far as I can tell, although Bunky says he got an email from someone based in Stuart, if that`s true, they must work from home. There is a rumor that they will/have stop using the TX fulfillment center and move that function to Indianapolis, where Vision Investments (the owner of PBMG) is located.

I messaged Jason on AGO yesterday and linked him this post. We’ll see if that helps.

I can`t find any evidence that Jason has moved on from PBMG, but it`s hard for me to believe he`s still there or we wouldn`t be having this discussion, unless his forum duties in the old days were performed under duress.

PBMA was bought by an investment firm. It seems they are gutting it. Looks as if the Blackfire line was phased out. I wonder if they aren`t planning on selling off Wolfgang and Pinnacle and making a quick buck. It`s pretty obvious they have no clue how to run the websites or store.

PBMA was bought by an investment firm.

That`s a little misleading, Vision Investments, LLC bought PBMG. Vision is the US importer of Sonax, and Tony George, the principal, is the former Chairman, CEO, and President of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. So they have a little more to do with motorsports and detailing than a simple "investment firm". Vision Investments, LLC Announces the Acquisition of Palm Beach Motoring Group

Looks as if the Blackfire line was phased out.

The Blackfire line has been re-imagined as a commercial car wash brand: https://blackfireproconcentrate.com/

Can`t blame them for gutting things. Many factors at work:

-OTC products have gotten really good.
-Coatings have reduced the need for closets of stuff.
-Car culture is dieing.
-People are doing less themselves.
-Money is tight.

A lot of headwind if you ask me.

I see it differently, I don`t know what was first the chicken or the egg, but I think losing key personnel and their lease probably changed the course of things.

OK, I can log on via my iPad :)

Changed internet carrier (from Spectrum to TDS) and apparently my Windows7-based Desktop PC cannot "find" the new internet router, so I am reduced to using my phone. Much rather type out responses on full-sized keyboard than the one-finger character "typing" I have to do now, but maybe that`s a good thing: no more long verbose Captain Obvious responses!!!!

Is your new router 5g only? Sometimes they have a compatibility mode. Also the new power line internet adapters are a good option too. That said, upgrade that Win7 machine!

Hey guys, I`m the OP of this thread. I have not been able to log in since shortly after posting. From the sounds of what Ive read so far here, I`ll just order a bottle of Optimum spray wax and a Porsche car cover for now. Thanks so much for all the input. Hopefully I can continue to log in........
