Who has the best price on nice HRE wheels?

SilverLexus

Super Enthusiast
I assume these are top quality and pricey. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Navindra, you are the resident HRE expert no?

Lookout!!!!! They are top notch though. I have heard of sets starting somewhere in the neighborhood of $3000 new. HRE has a very good reputation, though. You will still need to shop around. Good luck.

HRE's are awesome wheels. I have them on my Nissan 300ZX. I got them on a group buy a while back and saved a ton of money.

I would def shop around.

Lee, you may want to post this on OT as well. I know the guy from RPM Revolutions is on there & I believe he sells HRE...

Thanks guys.

Well Sean...I started to consider it to make the thing more sporty and stand out from the older drivers a bit more. It would depend on resale value a bit as I tend to get a new car every 3 years. I understand these things really hold their value.

Pat,

I never really looked at your Z pics on Zdriver. Those HREs are beautiful! :bow

I am thinking about a 5 spoke model...

Hold their value?

Forget it...It's like buying a Ferrari...I'd swap em out with each vehicle I own (if they are the same lug pattern of course ;) )...I really don't think you can go wrong with HRE's.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

lol.. HRE export... well first of all, its gonna be hard to find a good price on them, because they're not really like konigs, racing harts, etc... they are really really top end. its kinda like what sean said.. try going to a ferrari dealer and trying to get a good deal on them.. hard to do. i guess you could try ebay.. i never checked if they have HRE's on there, but they might. they way i look @ it, buying hre wheels over any other wheels, are an investment. They have really good customer service, and you can send your wheels to them if they every get bent, or need to be refinished. i think they come with a warranty.. i dont really remember. i'm not sure if you would be interested, but i know that you can get custom offsets, and the wheels painted certain colors..

the materials used to make the wheels are top notch, as well as the equipment.. probably the best in the industry.

the 545R and 545 are sick wheels.. are you going to drop your car @ all when you get aftermarket wheels? what color do you plan on getting? silver, chrome, polished, gunmetal? did you try contacting HRE through their website, for a estimate, just to see what they are asking in general?

have you looked at work wheels? http://www.worksuperwheels.com/

they are quite popular with the lexus crowd, and on their site is pics of them on ls430's etc. The termist tm1 would look pretty sweet on an ES.

Fikse makes probably the best wheel you can buy. Just make sure you shop around. As nice as HRE's are, you can do a lot better for the money.

the work emotion cr wheels are nice, especially for the jdm look, but dont you think that they are kinda focused to light weight performance.. for example, i would put roja, hre, in the same class, but volk/grams, works, spoon i would put in a different class. does that make sense? :nixweiss

if someone asked me a wheel i would recommend for a show car, i would say hre; if they wanted a wheel for the drap strip, i would say volk:D even though a lot of show cars these days have volk racing wheels on them...

As someone who has spent the last two months searching for the best price on HREs, I can tell you that you'll likely not be able to find a cheaper price than what Peter at WheelExperts. He also carries just about every other type of high-line wheel. Check them out: http://www.wheelexperts.com. Peter's email is Peter@...

I ultimately chose DPE wheels instead of HREs, but you really can't go wrong with HREs. Beautiful design and strong as hell. (I also chose to buy my wheels through Eric at SupremePowerParts - thats another option you should research.)

Good luck with your search. And post pics once you get your wheels mounted! I'll do the same once I get my wheels on -- probably three months away still :-(. For now I'll just watch tv and put layer after layer of AIO/SG on them!

the emotion is ok, however i feel a little cheap looking in person and to the touch, which is surprising coming from work. I was talking more about the termist and vs-xx line, 3 piece (sometimes 2), all forged. They are a touch sporty but geared towards luxury cars, they use a lexus ls430 quite often in their pics of the wheels. it does make sense what you are saying though, and I agree. Well I do disagree in one part, i think roja's really suck. Don't hate me please :)
