Today's Christmas special has me wondering...

Including my own, I see far more light colored vehicles than dark (though all of the black ones I see are either SUVs or P/Us). Add to that probably the majority have metal flake paint. I am assuming it will, but to what extent will WD mute the flake in the paint?

For my own personal white Ford-F150, what type of cure time would be necessary before using either EX or EX-P in order not to compromise the durability factor?

Never seen White Diamond mute flake :hmmm: and there is no cure time between the White Diamond and either EX or EX-P ;)
 
IMHO
Should not mute the flake at all.

No cure time for the glaze. Apply, buff off, seal or wax.
 
I have used the WD on both a solid white car and a silver car with metalflake. Both came out looking great and the flake wasn't muted. As a matter of fact in mho the flake more noticeable.:passout:
 
Rabbi, did you apply WD by hand or by PC? If by PC did you use a polishing pad or a finishing pad? I know not to expect any polishing/correcting effect, but was wondering how it would do w/a LC CCS white polishing pad, Meg's W-8006 (or similar).
 
I apply glazes with a blue final finishing/glazing pad. I had minor cleaning abilities, so a white pad could be used I suppose.

He does everything by hand, his pc has only seen day light once:rofl
I'd use a finishing pad, we use either Red or Black here ..it really has no polishing or correction ability, but i guess with a more aggressive pad it is possible it could do something :hmmm:
 
After I posed the ?, I caught Rabbi over in the chat room and he said he laid it down by hand and followed w/EX-P (which surprised me, since he's been all about all things/colors Natty lately) which is the direction I'm leaning toward for my personal p/u.

I assumed (but I assumed wrong earlier about flake mute -- which is why I ask) there was not correcting from the product, but just with the mechanical action of the pad, I agree there might be some correction, if only cleaning. But again, this will be on my own vehicle and I don't need it to correct. I'm really just looking to give that solid white paint a bit more oomph if possible.

yeah he does mostly wax for three seasons and then Sealants for the winter:inspector: ... it will definitely give White a "POP" :rockon
