Which would you use when really cleaning leather with a soft brush...

I don't really feel an MF cloth would do a good enough job of cleaning my leather so I picked up a soft hair brush for cleaning the leather interior. Now, the question remains... would you use an off the shelf product like Zaino Z-9/Lexol Cleaner. or would you use a mild detergent/soap and water combo for brushing and cleaning the leather? I've got mixed thoughts in my head but of course would love any input from the community here.
 
Z9 works great, followed by Z10. Sonus leather cleaner is also great, followed by the leather conditioner. Personally, I prefer the scent of the Sonus combo, but that is just a matter of personal preference.
 
Scent doesn't really matter to me. I prefer results over temporary smell :)



Although, I'll be picking up some Z-10 due to the raves over it's good smell... and I guess possible some Sonus conditioner next go around based on your input as well.
 
Both will give you good results. Z10 has a very strong scent (probably contains artificial perfumes) but it does not last. Sonus leather conditioner actually brings back the natural leather scent (no perfumes), so it lasts longer. When you first apply it, it has a funky smell, but that quickly goes away and the natural leather scent will come back.
 
Good to know. I will def keep that info in mind.



However, the main concern of this thread is cleaning ability of each of these options. If they're all gonna do the same, I'll just go with the Lexol cleaner I already have.... but I have also been curious about the "wonders of woolite" method as well...
 
The woolite (original)/water mix will also work great. In fact, I have a Lexus, and the manual recommends Woolite/water mix to clean the leather. BTW, use woolite to wash your MF towels as well.
 
I'll have to pick some up this week... which Woolite is it again? I think I remember something about making sure it's the original one.
