I am redetailing my wifes car due to overspray, but that's another story. I clayed 3 times to finally get all the overspray off, then polished with the 3 SFX polishes followed by pinnacle paint cleanser. Now I'm applying VM glaze and was wondering which would be better to top with...DG 105 or Colinite 845? I'm wondering the cleaning ability of the 845, will it remove the VM? Any help will be appreciated. I'll be back in a half hour when I'm done with the VM. Oh yeah, everybody have a happy safe new years! :usa

Why are you polishing so much after removing the overspray? Did the paint get marred from the clay? I've done alot of large overspray jobs and never had to do that much work. What happened? Did you take any pictures?

I don't think you'll get the DG 105 to stick over the top of the VM. The 845 should be ideal over it (it has no cleaners, btw, although it's got some solvent content).
I polished so much this time because the last detail was hurried as time was a premium. This time I removed 90+% of the swirls. I am impressed by the swirl removing ability of the SFX1 and 2 polish. However I wasn't impressed by all the dust! As far as the clay I started with Sonus green but ended up with the gray. Only a few spots mostly the upper half were a bear cat and had to be done a few times. I'll take final pics after I get the camera back from my wife. It's raining and gloomy though not sure how good of pics I'll get.
