Which wash mitts release dirt best?

If people pre-rinsed their vehicle better, you won't have large specs of dirt that get trapped in your wash tool to worry about. I've found that something without pores, like a ShMITT rinses/releases dirt the best? You can go from playing with it in the sand, to wash duty with just a quick rinse off. Try that with any other wash tool! Just because it releases dirt the best, doesn't make it the best though.

Some of us are on water restriction, so rinsing period isn't an option - which is where the ONR/QEW, and issue of releasing grime comes into play.

I could have an *army* of grout sponges for the price of one BHB.

Well, I guess BHBs aren't cheap and I suppose different people have different thresholds of significance when it comes to the cost of this stuff.



But as for what *rinses the cleanest*, I'll stick with the BHB answer- *nothing* has ever stayed stuck to mine, and I've had some mighty nasty stuff on 'em. IME there are some things (e.g., thick dirty greases, carbon stains from deteriorated rubber) that don't clean out/off of *anything* except the BHBs. Yeah, you could replace the stained media, but that wasn't the question Sorry, there I go getting all pedantic again.



One thing I still wonder about- when you need to reach deep up into a tight spot, I still don't see how anybody does it except with a long-bristled brush or a long-handled swab ("long" being a few inches). I gotta work the long bristles into the area and gently rub the tips across the area to be cleaned. There are places I simply can't access any other way; I can't get a mitt's nap, or a MF, or *anything* else down in there and I don't see how it could be cleaned with a sponge :nixweiss



But as long as everybody's happy with what they're using, that's the important thing and I don't want to sound all :argue Heh heh, if I could ONR/Sponge a vehicle and get the results I'm after I'd be on a soapbox about it the way I am about the brushes



Hey, I'm not anti-sponge Based on all the sponge threads you folks have been posting I've been using them to cxlean the back sides of wheel spokes and also to ONR some wheels for between-regular-wash cleanings as an experiment. And I'll probably do some experimenting on body panels too. I'd trying to keep an open mind about this stuff...it's just that some things that work great for others don't work as well for me and when it comes to the vehicles I care about I gotta go with what works for *me*.
