If you do a lot of work I would look for the continuous fill version, waiting for the cool down and re heat is a PITNeck. LOL
I would also look for a more commercial machine if your getting over the 800 dollar mark.
Check out the DE4002 from tornado. I sell and own this unit and its amazing. Easily adjustable steam moisture content from dry for seats and wet for greasy engines.
Also has continuous fill and mine is several years old no issues.
Lastly cleaning with steam is environmentally preferable, and effective but its slow detail work.

I'm afraid I don't know from the units in this poll, but I echo JSFM35X's post. Buy the most potent, best built, and most easily serviced unit you can afford.

Is it tornado or karcher? Think I looked up the specs to karcher which had same model number

Sneeky thing they did with that unit was
Cheapest Desi has vacuum and steam with continuous
Middle unit has vac steam and inject but single boiler
Last has steam vac inject and continuous lol
The pro series looks good and the one says heat time like 6 mins

It works on a regular outlet. Warm up time for the first full tank is about 15 minutes and then it's a continuous run fill unit.
We are actually Tornado dealers and this is a karcher manufactured product for tornado. Not sure if they are exclusive or not in the usa.
I'm not looking to sell here at all. Just trying to pass info. I totally understand your point and I am from between helping and not being truthful. I'd hate to write about it and later have someone find out I'm a dealer and Coke off as hiding something. I am transparent. Thought that was best.

I also seen vapor chief and a couple others that are USA made that are never mentioned on here or AGO
I'd go Avanti if it was commercial grade
As it has highest Psi and temp
Lightest unit
Quickest warm up at 4 mins
Best warrenty
But I don't want to pay around a grand for something that isn't commercial quality even though I'm sure it'll last forever for my use as I'm just barely weekend warrior

Their were a couple reviews on the gaia model which is essentially the same thing just home quality and it lasted 5 years for Richy over at AGO the other guy gave it a great review but maybe knly have a couple years in.
Larger tanks require longer warm up. Also the time I quoted is not off literature it's in the real world. I can't see a steamer heating a meaningful amount of water past a boil in 4 minutes and not burning itself out in short order.
We service many brands of steamers and the ones that are lightning fast at heating burn out the fastest. These thinks are little more than capachimo machines with wands. Liquid in and steam out.
Get one with a good warranty and a local service center. Working on these things is it easy as there is slot packed into little space.

Well I've done more research and am going to sway away from vaporclean
Most likely getting a steamer from Vapor chief
But will look into U.S. Steam units...don't get why they don't list any specs like amps,watts,temp or internal/external heater..

US Steams website layout doesn't give a professional feel either..
Sergent steam seemed overpriced for what they are..
Can't believe how many brands of steamers their are..

When you get this into it, sometimes it's best to just take a step back and go with what other professionals use. Could save you a lot of headache in making your decision.
I think if you want a good unit for a good price, that mytee firebird is a hell of a deal if you can grab it for $200. I've had one a little over a year and it's a great machine. Only had one issue and it was a blown fuse because I let it run out of water, but was easy enough to repair for just a few $.
If you're looking for a more high end or commercial unit, the one I always see that comes up is the vx5000.
I would say you can't go wrong with either. I have no experience with the vx5000 but many people here have one and love it. And while the firebird doesn't compare to it I'm sure, the firebird is also a steal for $200.and it's leaps and bounds better than your lower end units like the mculloch or household steamers. Remember that firebird was selling for almost $500 I believe just a year ago. It's a great unit

Yeah, I'm just going to go with one of the single Vapor Chief units..probably the pro single for the extra PSI and lifetime boiler/heater warranty
