I am curius about that as well. I thought that when I do Menzerna IP/FPII/FMJ and you top it with OCW what happens next time you want to re apply FMJ? Would the OCW get in the way? Same question with FK425 over FMJ if you want to appy another coat of FMJ would it affect the bonding?

I think the One Grand "Show Off" product needs to be on your short list. It's a great product to mist on a fresh, clean surface and leaves a wonderful carnauba shine that's both wet AND rich. :drool: My kinda stuff !

Hi, I did the second coat. Of course when I came out a bird took a crap on it and it was one of those thick cementy ones, hard as a rock. So I took a MF out of the glove box and spit on it and wiped it off. YUCK :aww:



Overall it looks pretty good. How long does OCW last? my car lives outside and I was once a week. In a few weeks I have some 845 to try, can I put 845 over OCW in a few weeks?

not to question you scott but do you think werks ajt has the longevity of a ksg? i mean i spray ksg on now but i did my work truck with nothing but hi temp low cut aio and sg 9 months ago the thing still sheets off water like day one. i like to use 425 and e1 spray carnuaba it leaves a very very slick finish inbetween jmo. btw scott....I WOULD NEVER DOUBT YOU DUDE. lol

I'd say with proper washing techniques and areas without major enviromental issues (industrial fallout and acid rain) you should get 6 months durability with the Prime/AJ combo.
 
Just a follow up, here is OCW x2 on my car. It came out pretty good!!!!!! :bigups

It sure did, I also bought some OCW in the sampler kit, just got to find the right time to use it though, LOL
 
Steve-I was pretty sure you'd be happy with OCW x 2. Really great, easy to use product and at around $32 for a gallon, and incredible value. Also great for buffing off polishes, lays down protection at the same time. Add a second application and your done!
 
Two things to add.



1) For the folks that are trying OCW for the first time. Please do not evaluate the performance until 24 hours after appling the OCW. After first applying it, there is no real shine. It needs time to "cook". When it is done (in 24 hours), then the awesome shine will be there :bow



2) I was really into spray-ons before I converted to Zaino. If you what a DEEP GLOSS, this is what I recommend. Buy some Turtle Wax ICE Polish. This is NOT a spray on (yet). Find a spray bottle that you can use. I used a empty spray bottle from Eagle Wax As You Dry. Now, pour the ICE into the spray bottle. Thats it..... Now, spray on, wipe off. There is no need to wait for it to dry. Spray on, buff off.. that quick. For me, this produced a very DEEP shine, but not very durable. But, who cares that its not durable. It is so easy to apply, I applied it every weekend as I dry the car.

That's probably where I would've used a little 425 or other QD. :) The spit-shine method isn't literal. ;)



Your car is looking very nice by the way. I happen to really like OCW. It's such an easy product to work with.
 
Yesterday tried my first coat of fx-100 over my AIO/SG base.....DEFINITELY made my black paint wetter and deeper. Seemed to get a little streaking at first, but it all kinda melted in after some followup buffing. Ease of use is - easier than KSG, but not as easy as a QD like 425. (but WET baby!) I can't wait to see if 425 will enhance the fx-100 even more.

Menzerna HGAS is a great sealant rejuvinator but if you try it out, make sure there is no water on the surface, or the HGAS will smear all over the place. I don't use it anymore for this reason.

I do the FX100/425 back to back each time. I should let the FX100 sit on its own. But I want to get it on the paint while its clean. If I wait a day I'll have to clean the whole car and I don't the it will be a huge difference over using the FK 'twins' back to back.



The thing I like about the FX100 is that you can use it over pink wax or a sealant like Acrylic Jett Trigger (I just applied both).

did you consider a sliver mesh grill for the front end?
 
I'm loving OCW at the mo. So quick and easy to use also leaves fantastic results. Here's mine after 3 coats of OCW.
