Hi, I just joined the forum.

Well Im deciding on which product to use on my perfect condition Red 94 Rx-7. It practically brand new, its impossible to find an Rx-7 in good condition now. Well Im in a Dilemma of choosing the best product that shines like a mirror and protects too.

Here are my choices:

2 Applications of Klasse AIO and 40 Applications of Klasse SG.

or

S100

or

P21s

I've heard realy great things about the 3 protectants and want to decide between the 3.Im looking for the best shine and protection. Also I heard that applying multiple layers of Klasse SG is like respraying your car with clear coat.

I currently use zymol polish, meg #7 glaze topped of with liqid gold class wax. I get great results but I there are better poducts that can get me better results. Please help me choose the best product.

Thanks, J

For the ultimate shine and protection I would recommend that you use the following from Meguiar's:

#83 Cleaner Polish

#7 Show Car Glaze

#20 Polymer Sealant

#26 Yellow Wax

I don't think you'll find much difference between 3 coats of SG to 40 coats of SG and I think after doing about 5-10 coat you'll get tired of it since it really doesn't make much difference in looks. I'm not sure about this statement, just my $0.02.

If I was going to go all Meguiars, I'd use the following:

#82 Swirl Free Polish (unless something more aggressive is needed)

#20 Polymer Sealant

#16 Professional Paste Wax (looks wetter than #26, IMO)

You can't go wrong with the Klasse twins but 2-3 layers of SG should be sufficient.

I also like Poorboy's products and I have been pleasantly suprised by the durability of their Polish w/carnauba and EX Sealant. After nearly 3 full month on a 4 year old Excursion that is driven about 2500-3000 miles a month (nearly 140,000 miles on the odometer), it is still beading nicely and has very noticable slickness.

I think #20 is similar to AIO in cleaning ability, but does not require a topper like SG to maximized it's durability.
