Which Product can withstand this...

I have a couple of new customers that own limo companies. I have been hired to protect and make the exterior of the vehicles look good, and stay that way. The contract is set up as a full detail 2x per year, and a wash and re-application of whatever sealant and wax i am using every other month. The problem is that in the inbetweens, these cars are run through an automatic car wash. Over the winter it is about about 3-4 times per week. I am looking for something that wont be beaten by the tunnel of horror, but will endure at least the 2 months between application.

With much thanks to EDSchwab1 for loaning me some klasse, I prepped the cars using the menzerna twins, followed by the klasse twins, and topped with collinite marquis. Yet i am still afraid this is not enough.

Any experience with Auto washes and what could hold up in them, or am i going to be the tester for this?? :nixweiss

Thanks,

Mike

I think what you wil be using will hold up if you are sealing the paint every 2 months. I'd stick with the products you intend to use and see how they hold up. I'm pretty sure they will.

If you're using Collinite every 2 months, you'll be more than protected even in Rochester, NY in the winter!

I have stressed Collinite extensively on this board. Easy on, easy off with incredible protection. It will hold up to automatic car washes.

In fact, you can use Collinite 476s and get the same look as the Marquis and save some money.

Me, I love the Insulator wax. I put it on 3 cars last weekend to get them ready for the winter.

With a couple layers of Klasse topped by Insulator, the thing should be bullet proof. Insulator on any good sealant job should do the trick!

tpgsr,

The Klasse should hold up well. I would put two layers of KSG or more layers depending on time and cost to profit ratio. Add a topper of Collinite, Blitz or #26 for added depth and protection. The owner will have a shiney limo with marring caused by the "tunnel of horror". If a car wash option with a wax is selected this will help extend the durabilty a little.

Did you have any problem applying or removing the K-Twins?

Where to buy Collinite?

Try your local boat supply or RV supply.
