Which panel you start polish first?

Deep scratch guy.
Okay guys,

Do you start out on the hood, the roof, the trunk? For me I start on the hood 1st. Anyone?

I start on the hood as well then work my way over to the top, then the trunk. After that its a free for all :buffing:

Hood, wings, door, rear quarter, door, quarter, roof.

Down to for inch pads for Door tops, tailgate, rear spoiler, rear valence, front valance, lower sides and sills.

Yeah, I gotta try do the roof next time. Its similar to washing technique(top to bottom)

I always begin with the trunk. I usually don't have to bend over, which allows for a more comfortable approach when trying to figure out what process will "work" for the particular job at hand. I then proceed to the hood then roof etc.

I'm in the hood camp too. Nice and flat and is usually the worst part of the car, my take is whatever works there will work everywhere else.

I do a test spot where the marring looks severe to figure out what approach I'm gonna use. But I start the actual work on the roof. [Stuff] tends to float downward and I don't want to contaminate any panels after I've polished them, so it's top-down for me too.

Hood, front fenders are the best places to start, as they are usually the worst. I then move onto the rest of the car, like the tops of the doors/roof, trunk. Then the bottom of the car.

Depends on how long my extension cord is really. I like to start on the hood. I've got a drop line in my garage which I throw over top of the garage door tracks to keep it up and out of the way. When I run out of cord I switch sides. I'll start on the hood and then work my way back whichever side my cord is on. When I have gone as far as the cord will comfortably reach....SWITCH.

Being a rotary user and usually prime with water to start, i start on the trunk top, if i get any splatter, it is at the start and then it is on the rear window instead of the windshield or wipers. Then rear quarter, roof, doors, hood and so on, moving to the left. I do the rear bumper area last as it has the most dirt or dust in cracks.
