Which Pad, Polish for Defect?

Which PC pad combined with which polish would you start out with for the following defects?



Minor Swirls

Major Swirls

Water Spots

Fine Scratches

Moderate Scratches

Deep Scratches



I know you might have to go out on a limb here, but just give me your best opinion based on the above info.



Assume PC, CMA pads, and 3M polishes or PPCL, AIO.



I'm trying to get an idea of how to attack my three cars with a PC for the first time.

Always start less aggressive like SMR and a white pad then try yellow pad with FI-II any thing more that that and you may need a rotary....
 
Minor Swirls: white pad, meguiars' SMR 2.0 or Glaze, then wax

Major Swirls : yellow pad, FI-II, followed by meguiars' SMR 2.0, then wax

Water Spots: either of the above depending on severity

Fine Scratches; to me a fine scratches are the same as swirls

Moderate Scratches: meguiar's scratch-x, by hand, foam pad. If LOTS, 3M rubbing compound, yellow pad - but my car will never be this way.

Deep Scratches: forget about it.
