Hi

I have a 2001 black Audi S4 which has some significant swirls. I fixed the hood (with a DA and Meguiars Ultimate Compound) somewhat, and at some point will do the same for rest of car (maybe trying the less aggressive compounds like Paint X, SwirlX or equivalent from other co's). (pics attached btw). At this time I had also clayed entire car.

A week or so ago, I washed (2 bucket system) with Meg's Gold Class, dried and then used Optimum Spray Wax hand.

I have quite a bit of dust and have 3 options.

1. Use ONR as a detailer and wipe off with microfiber

2. Wash with Gold Class, dry and then use Optimum Wax

3. Wash with ONR, dry and then use Optimum Wax.

Which is best, and what are the pro's/cons.

Thanks

Shriram

Out of those 3 options personally I'd do a real wash with gold class and dry off with OCW using clean microfibers. I know that you can wash with ONR without causing any defects in the paint but I feel like its easier to keep your working area and wash mitt clean when you're using a conventional wash method and flooding with water. To be even more safe, you can add ONR to your Gold class wash water but since you say you've only fixed the swirls on a small part of the car and are still going to go back over and fix more, being extra careful isn't really necessary on anything but the parts you've already corrected.

sndraco- I'd wash it, using whichever method works best for you. No point in making any existing marring even worse IMO.
