which meguiars wax lasts the longest? ppp or #26?

No. #26 is their longest lasting wax from my own personal experience and it was also the longest lasting Meguiars wax in the Guru Reports Wax Test.



#20 Polymer Sealant will outlast #26 though.
 
I have done the #7, #20 combo in the past and I really liked it. There is some debate out there as to weather the #20 will remove the #7 though. I didnt think when I did it that the #20 removed the #7. I would say do it and see what you think. I know I liked it. I currently use the #7 topped with either Trade Secret or #26.
 
this seems like a good thread to ask this then.Yes I am do a hijackin!!! So what would be the longest or best wax to use on the car in winter for us foks that get the cold snow.
 
Funny, the PPP is supposed to be a wax/resin or poly combo, kinda like Poorboys EX.



A more pure sealant such as #20 will last longer.



The PPP look to be an effort to marry both a carnuba and a resin or poly.

Are you sure it isn't the other way around?



Taken from the Meguiars Professional catalog regarding #20



" Unique blend of polymers, silicone and imported waxes creates a brilliant high gloss finish that outlasts all other waxes".



MPPP is on the same page and they make absolutely no mention of wax in its description although that doesn't necessarily meant there isn't any.



The blend of polymers and waxes is one of the reasons I like #20. This picture is of my roof with #81 hand polish topped with #20.

Another Meg's wax to consider is their #16 Pro paste wax. It doesn't last as long as Collinite's 476S, but it DOES last a long time (at least for me). Mike P. from Meg's has good things to say about it too.
 
OK, here is the info on Megs PPP:

So, it's a blended type poly sealant and wax, which gives a nice lasting protection with the warmth of wax.



Used it in the past on a Black 2001 Lexus RX300 which does not have a clearcoat, and it looked pretty nice.



Some mfg blending have better results than others, and Megs does a good job with this blend.
